Contact Supervisor Balmes for additional information at (906)892-8279 YOU MUST PROVIDE NAME AND PROPERTY ADDRESS. A LIMIT OF ONE TRUCK LOAD PER HOUSEHOLD. NO ELECTRONIC WASTE ACCEPTED.  The County Offers several opportunities to dispose of these items properly throughout the year.
TIRES (without rims) will be accepted, a MAXIMUM of 4 per household will be strictly enforced.
NO Refrigerators, freezers or air conditioning units will be accepted (with or without freon).
Items that WILL NOT be accepted: Ashes, brush, yard waste, leaves, propane tanks, batteries, engines or motors containing gas or oil, fuel tanks, air conditioning units, and drums of any size. NO HAZARDOUS WASTE ACCEPTED (gas, oil, paints, thinners, insecticides, anti-freeze or anything containing PCP’s).

**Au Train Township Board Special Board Meeting** 

The Au Train Township Board will be holding a Special Meeting on Monday, July 28th at 6PM to continue review and discussion of the Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments.

The Michigan Secretary of State Mobile Office will be at the Au Train Township Hall to service you!!

Liquids of any kind
Batteries!!! (Several have been left in the Old Plank Road Dumpster and next to Carts)
Large construction items that will get stuck in the dumpster
Steel/metal should be brought to the landfill to be recycled (no cost)
ALSO,
Everything must be in the cart and the lid closed or your entire cart will not be picked up. If you have more than one – they must be placed 3′ apart.

**MORATORIUM ON SHORT TERM RENTAL CUP APPLICATIONS** – Effective May 5, 2025
 

The Au Train Township Board has put a 3-month moratorium on accepting applications for a Short Term Rental Conditional Use Permit as the Planning Commission continues necessary updates and amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.
