Au Train Township Special Joint Meeting with Planning Commission7:00 pmThe Au Train Township Board will hold a Special Joint Meeting on Monday, May 5th at 7:00 PM with the Planning Commission to discuss Short Term Rentals, Zoning Amendments for boundary corrections on Ridge Road and upcoming Zoning Ordinance Amendments with the assistance of CUPPAD. This meeting, as noted, will have a start time of 7:00 pm to accommodate full attendance of members. The Au Train Township Board will be the recording Board for the official minutes of this Joint Meeting. *AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR ENFORCEMENT BY MUNICIPAL CIVIL INFRACTION WHICH WAS ADOPTED AUGUST 11, 2025*

THE TOWNSHIP OF AU TRAIN, ALGER COUNTY, ORDAINS:

An Ordinance to provide for commencement of municipal civil infraction actions and provide for issuance, service and contents of citation for municipal civil infractions by Ordinance Enforcement Officers. Sections of this Ordinance are codified as follows:

Section 101: Purpose

Section 102: Short Title

Section 103: Definitions

Section 104: Commencement of a Municipal Civil Infraction Action

Section 105: Issuance and Service of Municipal Civil Infraction Citations

Section 106: Contents of Municipal Civil Infraction Citations

Section 107: Violations and Penalties

Section 108: Severability

Section 109: Effective Date

This ordinance shall be in full force and take effect seven days after publication of this notice. A true copy of the Ordinance in its entirety can be viewed on the Au Train Township website, www.autraintownship.gov (CLICK HERE), or by contacting the Township Clerk to schedule an appointment.

ALSO,

Everything must be in the cart and the lid closed or your entire cart will not be picked up. If you have more than one – they must be placed 3′ apart.

**MORATORIUM ON SHORT TERM RENTAL CUP APPLICATIONS** – EXTENDED UNTIL THE UPDATES ARE APPROVED AND EFFECTIVE.

The Au Train Township Board has continued the moratorium on accepting applications for a Short Term Rental Conditional Use Permit as the Planning Commission continues necessary updates and amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.
